Estates Assistant is your helping hand when it comes to administering an estate and dealing with all that entails.
We also provide assistance to people and organisations wanting to put their affairs in order. This is particularly important when it comes to digital assets like cryptocurrency, social media accounts and other online products and services.
Frank Downes is the founder of Estates Assistant and is an IT consultant and admitted lawyer having spent his career in the fields of information technology, accounting and law.
His involvement in the estates industry goes all the way back to his childhood. His father owned and ran a funeral monument business which still exists today and is located directly opposite the entrance to Woniora cemetery in Sutherland NSW.
Bereaved loved ones would visit the office and often commented they really did not know where to start and the whole process was overwhelming. Each service provider from the funeral director to the solicitor holding the will has their own area of expertise and no one provides a holistic 360 degree approach to finalising the affairs of a person once they have passed, and helping those who knew that person.
From that came the idea for a place where a person could find the information and service providers all in one place.
Out of the office Frank is a volunteer with the Rural Fire Service, and grows French Black Truffle on a farm south of Sydney.
